i forget where i read this, but it sounded like a pretty cool story spun from the lyrics that actually makes sense: he's on a plane with the girl he loves, except the plane's gonna crash, and while it's on the way down, he's saying he'd rather go down with the plane and the girl than be rescued and survive, rather die than be taken away from her. |

| No way "North" was a let-down. Half my favorite songs are on this album. Nothing they do could ever be a disappointment. But I admit, for most of their songs, I don't fully appreciate it til the second or third time through. | |
