Some emotional scars never fade, time can't heal them and love can't save you from it because you still remember. The author is promised that if he just waits and ignores the pain, it will stop bothering him, but he can't forget what happened and the promise that he will get better with time and love is never kept. What they don't understand is that he can't get over it! This reminds me of a lot of the problems I have! |

One of the most beautiful songs on the album. If I listen to a song enough I start to imagine a story, so this is my interpretation of it. I think this song is about a boy and a girl who loved each other, but the girl had some emotional problems that she didn't want him to know about, preventing her from getting too close to him. As a result, the boy is confused and breaks up with her. On this day it would have been their one year anniversary and he realizes he never meant to let her go. If both of them had a chance to go back to that one moment where they were both in love, she would have told him everything, and he would have never let her go. Sorry if I messed up the whole self explanatory part. :-) |

| You know how you used to be really close to someone, and then you don't see them for a long time somehow, then when you finally see them again, you realize that they have been living their own life this whole time, without you, and they have changed from the person you used to know. (that was a total run on sentence!)The author is desperate to know if things are still the same between these two. But it's not, because time has passed, and the other person is not the same person they were back then. Everything has changed, or is it the author himself who has changed? | |

| Everytime I listen to this song I make up this story that the author is stuck inside the life of someone else. A happy, young, stranger in love. But as he is trapped inside this stranger's life, he sees his relationship with a girl slowly come undone. By now he wants to stop living this life but no matter what he does he can't find himself. And he realizes that this could be himself and he doesnt want to live his own life. That's what the song means to me. | |
