SLF often use irony or sarcasm to express their views. they look at the oppposing views and use them as a way of saying "this bullshit actually happens". eg. straw dogs, fly the flag, white noise and Beirut moon. |

i cant believe that there aren't any comments on most of these songs. where are all the SLF fans? anyway - brilliant song. very inspiring to young people especially. just take the word ulster and replace it with your hometown and listen to what jake burns has to say: dont just except where you live as a boring place where nothing happens, make it better, alter your native land. |

one of my favourite songs of all time!! i love the way that jake burns just says "throw away the fighting and the wars all gone" he makes the problem of war sound so simple to tget rid of. oh by the way the song is called "roots radics rockers and reggae" not radicals. it was a mistake made by the record company at the time and it was too late for jake burns to change it so it has always been written this way on albums etc. |
