second, they were influenced by the song "gallows pole" by led zeppelin. You can hear it easily in the chorus and in the lyrics. cool twist on it.
third of all, boredperson24 please reader a bible. Your implying Jesus was a sinner, ran away because of fear, and that he clung to his mother. That couldnt be more wrong, no offense. and doesn't explains the hangman and gallows.

the guitar line followed by the "responce" guitar line (the main riff) in this song is simple but inspired, which only the best muscians can do.
and i was going to defend Forgotten way because i like a few static-x songs, but by judging rage against the machine by their most popular song which you probably heard only once, didn't understand how to listen to it, so just said "fuck them" because you dont like music unless its predigested for your enjoyment.
The last thing we need is someone making music about negativity instead of trying to get something postive out of misfortune.

how is this fictional? it seems like the actual is just being retold vaguely and elaborately..like when he says "all the non believer torso in the wells" i believe that means if you still cant believe certain things then your crippling and isolating yourself from what is really going on. |

hmm i didnt think about that, when it says learn to swim, i always just thought it meant to learn to live without depending on the vainities of life, but it also tells about this prophetic weather changing in 2012 that will put LA under water (learn to swim). |
