This band is retarded. I like how they know shit about eugenics and social darwinism. They throw that in there for some catch words.. Ieatpunk is right. This has no direct subject matter. Its just random shit talking about some vaguely described problem. blah. Fuck this band. |

| 7 Seconds – Straight On Lyrics

First off, I like how he brings up that alot of duggies say straight edge is a "trend", yet the philosophy is has been around and practiced for a long time. Way longer than the tern "straight edge". It's not a trend, its a positive lifestyle ...
Also, The lyrics are simplistic. They aren't as well written as minor threat, but its good to have another straight edge punk band. Its basically giving reasons why he's straight edge, showing it's personal preferance and not for the trend. |

yea ieatpunk is right. COme on, this song most definitly has a message. ""RIGHT ON", that's the phrase, to the fucked up stupid things you say,
we say:
"RIGHT ON! RIGHT ON! RIGHT ON! RIGHT ON...!" I guess to all these stupid comments about me they would just say right on. He's talking about a- Drunk punks b-drunks who claim to love anti-flag but are too wasted durin the set c-nationalist punks, aka skins. c-people who listen to the music but don't understand the meaning of the lyrics or what the band stands for.. "somebody took the time to write these words, so figure out what they mean"- |

Its pretty much see through. It's a sarcatic song about people who's main goal is to get a good job, fit in with the johnsons, and move into a suburban home. THeir personalities are like the houses, premolded. THey don't want to stand out, they want to fit the stereotype of the suburban family.. |

I think Nikkie has alot of stupid posts.. This song is really good. It doesn't have to do with being a "teen Angsts" song. I mean, it can serve that purpose. But it also should be carried on to adult which is when most people forget their identity and get too wrapped up in the "johnsons" and the "american Dream", focusing on getting ahead, growing up, and playing the adult role because that was what was layed out for them, not because its what they wanted. |

Man this song is really good. Another one of Home Growns songs that I can relate with. Which is why they were really good. Its hard not to let someones past play a role in if you get involved.. I disagree with it. I shoulda listened to her past, because if I would I coulda seen what happened ahead of time.. lol. Its also hard to forget the tiny factor that a girl may have slept with 70 guys or something.. lol. Certain things are important. |

hahah.. Man this song is good. Its another sarcastic song about people not being happy with who they are and trying to be someone else.. Talking about schemes for them to be popular.. haha. I like where he goes "If I was an actor like keanu reeves.
Then all the girls would scream and shout and tear.
I'll be rich and famous from the movie screen.
and by this time we'll be sold out." or where they talked about being signed on epitaph.. which sucks btw. Good Cali. Punk.. I mean these were good songs, before kings of pop cd. they got old I guess. |

wow, sounds like this bitch about me might have been picked on in high school. This song is cool actually. The "poseur" thing isn't just a high school issue. I mean who cares if someone flits into a click, but "posing" in general is rediculous. I like this song though, because it seems like every generation can relate to it. There were always people tryin to fit an image .. harcore, punk, alternative... etc.. |

ha this is prolly one of their coolest songs.. It just is a realtic look on how unimportant an individual is to a company. Especially part time. I mean, what could he do? He asked for a raise and they said no. He could leave this job he knew and start somewhere else at prolly a lower pay, and suffer the same problem. That's what sucks about not getting a college degree in America. |

yeah dude in middle school I use to have this group of friends that would constantly insult eachother as if it were funny. I broke away from that real fast. In high school I saw alot of people who were afraid to be themselves around their friends because anything abnormal, any guinine happiness opened a person up to criticism. Fuckin glad I learned young not to play that game. Awsome song. |

| Leftover Crack – Atheist Anthem Lyrics

yo listen up ieatpunk, loc has the most profound lyrics ever. I mean, its like all the freebasing they do opens up a creative gate way.. Those who are straight edge can't understand. Dude.. They were definitly wasted writing this, which makes it even more appealing to fuckin rebel-wanna be kids looking for the shock value.. God damn, get the fuck out of punk and go a Marilyn Manson cd or something.
Honestly. LOC is a shitty band. Fuckin a few junkies getting together to throw some cliche lyrics to some catchy cords, throwing in some shock valued songs and titles "atheist anthem, Shoot Kids at School, one dead cop" etc, feeding these kids what they want to hear. These lyrics suck. HE obviously took like a total of 5 mins to write this on some napkin as he was commin down from his last high. Glad to know that punk lyrics mean shit these days. |

whats with all this bull shit about ian starting to drink? Show me a pic or a link.. I hear all kinds of crazy crap from people and from all the interviews I read with him, he's still straight edge.. Oh, and why would you listen to straight edge music, preaching straight edge, if you aren't? Might as well go listen to like britany spears if the lyrics mean shit to you. |

Stop listening to anti-flag.. They are making fun of Drunk Punks! You guys are fuckin retarded. THey are a straight edge band.. "I'm so cool
Cause I can drink so much
I can drink more than you" Talks about how drinking is a popularity contest and a competition as if drinking alot brings bragging rights. "Mom's gonna get us at the mall oh
In a drunken stupor I hope I don't fall oh
I could chew on a big wad of gum oh
Mom won't notice, she's old and DUMB" this song makes fun of the kids who do this and think they are rebels.. You all such at sarcasm. |

You fuckin retards. I think one person posted what it really means.. or close to what it means. thanks RitesofSpring909 . Henry Rollins was definitly straight edge.. Still is today. even if he wants, you can tell its sarcastic by how pathetic he makes it sound to drink. lol. the first comment was the most retarded one. "emo kids stay away just get drunk." It has nothing to do about emo kids, infact, emo wasn't around then, new wave was. |
