It is because in the show family guy the cheetos man snorted orange powder lol, that was pretty funny but i dont think the song is about that

John Fogerty was actually drafted and was in vietnam for a while, the song is about how the nighttime was unsafe. When he says i see a bad moon rising i think he means he thinks there will be a raid tonight |
