Thee More Shallows – Cloisterphobia Lyrics 19 years ago
this song scares the shit out of me. am i alone in thinking this is about a middle-aged man going back to a dead ex-lover/mother's house and dancing in her shoes? because that's creepy as all hell. amazing song, but horrifying to me.

Thom Yorke – Cymbal Rush Lyrics 19 years ago
he says "your little ____" both before and after the abovementioned lyrics. then it's:
"no more conversations
no more conversations
all the rooms were numbered
-something here-
she'll turn away
she'll turn away"

sorry for the patchwork. only heard it twice now. it's all i'll listen to for a week, so i'll try and fill in more later.

favorite on the album, actually. incredible.

Low – Dinosaur Act Lyrics 19 years ago
always thought it was about the husband/father either suddenly dying or leaving the relationship. his death or departure is the 'dinosaur act.' he's extinct, gone, and the rest of the song is about dealing with that.

Low – In Metal Lyrics 19 years ago
it's about a mother not wanting her infant to grow or change. the song has a beautiful combination of both sadness and joy. i love when it picks up near the end.

Radiohead – Let Down Lyrics 19 years ago
my favorite song, by any artist. period.

so many interpretations. everyone can find meaning somewhere within it. for me, it perfectly captures the feeling of being trapped in a world where everything moves too fast for you.

my perfect song.

The American Analog Set – Continuous Hit Music Lyrics 19 years ago
i can see where la_femme is coming from, but i think it's more direct than that. sounds to me that he's talking about the current state of radio. radio has become so commercialized and abused that it only wants 'continuous hit music.' independent radio stations are virtually non-existent any more. we lost the right to good music when we failed to support the stations that brought it to us. hence 'we lost the right' and 'they took it and abused it.'
