I had an epiphany when I realized the meaning. The poem by William Carlos Williams is obviously the inspiration. To understand the song, you have to understand the poem. In the poem, the danse russe frees him from the burden of his dead family. To go along with Vol.1 and Vol. II, you have to understand Rapture, and how his lover killed their child and herself. J. Loren’s version of Danse Russe is of a girl that he hooks up with and she somehow frees him from the burden of losing everything. //She reminds me of the Danse' Russe When my emotions are wounded Her motions and movements chase the ghosts from me// Once you see the connection between the poem and the song, it’s incredible! |

| I don't think this song is as "devilish" as it seems. I think it simply means that a good realtionship went bad when he got the girl pregnant and she decited to have an abortion. It "looked" like him because it was his, and the "photograph" is a picture of the sonogram and "back when it breathe, rest in peace" is the relationship dying. She had the abortion because she "Thought it was the best thing" but he didn't and that's why he was so torn by it. Although there are clues that she had induced the abortion herself, there's no way to tell. | |

A beautiful song that sounds more like a poem that's being sung. Basically, it's about contemplation of comitting suicide because there's no clear reason to live. More like a breakup that leaves you to where you just want to die. "I thought of just your face Relaxed and Floated into space" |

Ok, I have a diffrent take on this song. I think that it's about a guy who keeps going back to the same girl time and time again even though they have problems. There are certain people You just keep coming back to She is right in front of you. ___ Also, he tries to look for someone but can't find someone better. "Maybe you want her, maybe you need her" and he hurts because he feels he has to have her and then "maybe you had her, maybe you lost her to another" _____ Finally, the "crowd begins to sing" which is the people (his friends) telling him maybe the hardest thing and the right thing are the same. It can be taken two ways, maybe letting her go is the hardest thing but the right thing to do, or maybe getting her back is the hardest thing but the right thing to do. Either way you wish to see it. Basically, it's about a song of someone who you love and you can't ever get off your mind and you think they're your soulmate even though you could've lost them. |

This song isn't about religion OR drugs. Why? Well, how is war about drugs? And APC is against religion, listen to some of their other songs (such as Judith, if you really want to see). This song is only about 1 thing, and that's if you listened close enough. At first it seems like a parent talking to their child, but it's not. It's about Bush and the rest of the government telling the people not to worry about the war, but here we are, counting bodies like sheep. The "like sheep" is meant to show how blind we all are. "Go back to sleep and count sheep" but count bodies like sheep in a "rhythm of the war drum" or just like "boom, boom, boom" in a steady beat. So, it's basically a song about how the government is trying to tell the American's how "simple" this whole war is, just go back to sleep, pay no mind to the rabble, it'll all be over. Yeah, right. That's why APC mocks it in this song. |

Okay, to me, this song has a very, VERY deep meaning. When I first heard it, I thought it was a very pretty song and I still think the same of it. The chorus states that there is a guy and he's looking at a girl "through glass" because he can't be with her the way he wants to. This sets the stage for the rest of the song. It feels like forever because he wants to be with her, he has no idea how long he's been doing it and he's used to it by now because he "feels like home" "sitting all alone" inside her head because he's not on her mind a lot. And then in "Remember it's just diffrent from what you've seen" he's trying to convince her to be with him because he will be diffrent from the bad relationships she's been in before. The "stars" are those guys that she's with that "shine" to her because they seem very good but they're the ones that "lie" to her and make her feel bad during relationships. She can't find an "easy answer" to explain how she feels towards him, and he writes her notes and tells her how he wants to be with her. However, this song is very deep and the meaning is really clear. All it is about is a guy wanting to be with a girl who is with people who appear to be better, the "stars", when she should really be with the guy sitting in the glass wanting to be with her, looking through glass because he wants to be with her, but at the time, can't be with her. |

I think this song is quite deep. The song is about a girl "sitting in her heartache", who needs a man to come and rescue her. Because when she was young, she always dreamed of Prince Charming to rescue her. She "plays forgivness" by telling him that she's been hurt more than she has. She wants him to change her old ways of doing wrong. The devil's water is about her not forgiving the man that did her this way in the first place, she didn't give him a chance to make a mistake, she just chose to suffer and wait on her Prince, but he didn't look like a savior, but he's what's she's left with. |

| This song can be very deep. I have recenlty made an anime music video for Final Fantasy VIII for this song, and I had to understand the lyrics. I feel that it's about a man who was once very strong, but he has fallen and he's dying. He cries out to heaven, and to God, to bring him his love back, so that he can live again. Although he appears not to be frightened of death; "maybe six feet ain't so far down" - he keeps repeating "hold me now" and "please come now" which means he needs the woman he loves or else he won't be able to live much longer. Passion, which was the Japanese opeing to Kingdom Hearts 2, follows Hikari, the Kingdom Hearts theme song in japanese. If Hikari was the dawn, Passion is the dusk. Hikari speaks of this time when they were cheery, together, more or less childish. Passion expresses the singers feelings, how they are broken apart now. And how she can see now looking back, how childish their love was and that it could not withstand what happened to them. However, agreeing with Si-chan here, Passion lost a lot of meaning in the translation to Sanctuary. Therefor, these songs really have to be listened to in japanese to get the real meanings. |
