I remeber Elliott saying in some interview that "He didn't like being with his record company, 'cause they'd make him add certain things. A (Like the pressure Virgin put on him to play a certain way, when he was in Heatmiser. Having a producer yell at you.) And that he didn't want to add piano, 'cause that made it sound like a Beatles song. But I always thought that it was the guitar that made it sound like that! The rythm and cords. Oh my fucking god! This song is so depressing and scary! It would be so bad if I heard this when I used to take medication! OOoohhhh..... I wounder if it was really personal or a metaphore. BRILLLIANT!!! EXCELLENT!!! STUPENDICE!!! AS ALWAYS!!! I think it's evident what this song is about! I like how he says "the closer you get the more you get confused." b/c people that have been abused block it out all of their lives 'cause it's so bad, who'd want to remember!? I don't remember that much abuse happening to me, but I don't really remember my childhood....at all...... and when i do, it seems like a lie. "you don't know what you're saying you've been abused!" if you don't have evidence (you can't remember, nobody will believe. then not take you seriously!" what is "to a perfect tee?" is that just some expression!? |

Does anyone have some REALLY GOOD TABS for this. All the ones I have had suck. BTW the son is called "Happiness (The Gondola Man.) A gondala man spends all of their lives schouffering other people around. (on boats in Venice!) I believe. So maybe it's about pleasing another person, and getting nothing out of it. Or that man always looking happy. |
