i agree with the Anne Frank element in it. I think this song makes multiple references. One is from a patrick bruel poem , entitled amsterdam
and i remember chris martin talking about an Ian McEwan novel by the same name about betrayal , suicide and redemption. I reckon that teh song follows all three stories as they are very similar. |
