| Red Hot Chili Peppers – Road Trippin' Lyrics

The song tells of a road trip in which lead singer Anthony, John, and Flea surfed at Big Sur following John's return to the band. The song doesnt feature any drumming, which would explain Chad not being mentioned in the song, and in the music video, he is only seen breifly at the end of it. |

A few years ago in my world history class(2003 to be exact), I mentioned this when we were studying WW1. My teacher said it wasnt relevent to what we were discussing, and wouldnt respond to any questions I had about it. |

| Megadeth – Mechanix Lyrics

Ive been a Metallica fan since I was in 3rd grade, and Kill Em was one of the first albums I ever bought. I had heard of Megadeth a year or two later, but didnt know the history between the two bands. I first listened to this song in 7th grade and was shocked at how similar this and Horsemen sounded(Remember, I had no idea these two bands had any history). So after a little research, I discovered what shadowfilth pretty much said, and became a huge Megadeth fan, and the two bands are in my top three favorite bands, along with Iron Maiden.
As for the meaning, thats obvious, the second post pretty much summed it up |

| Audioslave – Cochise Lyrics

In an interview, guitarist Tom Morello said this about the song: "Cochise was the last great American Indian chief to die free and absolutely unconquered. When several members of his family were captured, tortured, and hanged by the US Cavalry, Cochise declared war on the entire Southwest and went on an unholy rampage, a warpath to end all warpaths. He and his warriors drove out thousands of settlers. Cochise the Avenger, fearless and resolute, attacked everything in his path with an unbridled fury. This song kinda sounds like that." |

I think crowell nailed this one on the head. Ive always liked this song. I just heard it on the radio, so I thought Id come here and see what other people think. Sadly, only a few people seem to know this song. Thats a shame, since Days were a really good band. |

This song is so relaxing to listen to for me, like if Im in a bad mood or something, it makes me feel a little better. I dont know if thats just me or something. As for the meaning, I think its about just reflecting on life and hoping all the decisions you made were the right ones. |

| Country Joe McDonald – I-Feel-Like-I'm-Fixin'-to-Die Rag Lyrics

I would enjoy this song more if Country Joe wasnt a hippie. I dont like them. Ive heard alot of anti war songs, but I still think this one's the funniest. Although, I dont think anti war songs are meant to be funny. So I suppose this is the only funny anti war song. I agree that the Vietnam war was a conflict that shouldnt have happened. However, some wars are necassary, saying all wars are pointless is stupid. Im not saying that CJ said that, but Im just saying. |
