Mr. Mister – Kyrie Lyrics 19 years ago
I crossed one of those commonly misheard lyrics pages in order to actually figure the name on this one out - it crosses my radio every once in a while. It's a very inspirational song - even before you know what it means. Thanks to those that offered a meaning on "Kyrie Eleison"!

I'm sitting there listening to the song thinking, man, what a great beat, but who the hell carries a laser down the road they must travel?

Pink Floyd – Us and Them Lyrics 19 years ago
I definately see a war analogy, the song showing how wars are fought by commoners and the rich take the spoils.

"Us and Them" and "Me and You" Represent the two sides of the war. The soldiers don't want to be there, but have to obey orders.

"Forward he cried, from the rear, and the front rank died." - I love this line. It shows how the Presidents and generals make all these decisions from the back about what must be, but it is the front line soldier that dies for his cause. Beautiful. And the bit about lines on the map, showing how pointless their death was.

Black and Blue, the injuries and death surrounding the soldiers.

Up and Down, and round and round - again illustrating that in the end the whole thing was meaningless.

"Haven't you heard, it's a battle of words?" The government lying about how horrible a war is.
"Get in son, there's room for you inside" - the initiate soldier encounters the first harsh reality of soldier life.

I have a different take on the last bit, slightly - I think it's the son of someone that died in the war, which seems to me to fit the "Another brick in the Wall" theme. He's walking along preoccupied, shuts himself out from society, pondering how his "old man" could die for such trivialities as the price of tea and a slice (of bread)."

Nickelback – Worthy To Say Lyrics 19 years ago
I think it is one eye on the telephone, one on the door.

The song is about drugs, specifically marijuana. It's about how life as a dealer traps you, changing your life into a constant paranoia.

"Somebody's gonna do it again, gonna make me turn against all of my friends, so you better have somethin damn worthy to say" - sounds to me like he's talking to one of his downline - saying I'm not here to be your friend - because when you live a life of secrecy, you can't have any true friends.
