| All Time Low – Let It Roll Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| i think basically the song is about letting your worries go and just living life with your friends. you can't dwell on smaller worries when there's your whole life out there! | |
| Okkervil River – So Come Back, I Am Waiting Lyrics | 18 years ago |
My favorite line in the entire song is: "See the muddy hoof prints where he carried you?" That one line gives the entire song such mystery. Beautiful song |
| DJ Khaled – We Takin' Over (feat. Akon, T.I., Rick Ross, Fat Joe, Birdman & Lil Wayne) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Anyone else notice that Akon's voice doesn't sound nearly as electronic as usual on this song? Don't get me wrong, I like Akon's music, but here he sounds more... human. Not computerized. | |
| Sick Puppies – All The Same Lyrics | 18 years ago |
As with others, I was introduced to the song through the Free Hugs video. It's so powerful. Absolutely beautiful. Sick Puppies will be huge. |
| Bone Thugs-n-Harmony – I Tried Lyrics | 18 years ago |
This is what Bone Thugs is all about. Music like this. Brilliant. Beautiful. Accurate. It's amazing. |
| The Samples – Feel Us Shaking Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Another beautiful Samples song. More people should know of this band - they are so talented. | |
| Paul McCartney – Here Today Lyrics | 18 years ago |
handsdown4dbeatles: For the record, I tell my best friend - a fellow male - that I love him a lot, actually. Whenever he feels down or I say something by accident that hurts him. I think that, in order to be close, dear friends have to be able to admit their love for one another - people just don't often realize that "love" doesn't necessarily mean "romance." Anyway, wow. This song is just so touching. |
| The Samples – Nothing Lasts For Long Lyrics | 18 years ago |
This is such a beautiful song. - Maybe nothing lasts forever not the mountain or the sea But the times we had together they will always be with me - That part almost makes me cry. |
| Rick Ross – Hustlin' Lyrics | 18 years ago |
... Worst lyricist ever? I swear, these rhymes are more simplistic and downright awful than MIMS's "This is Why I'm Hot." And TIWIH is actually catchy. This is crap. Hey Rick, learn to rhyme with different words. |
| Blink-182 – Always Lyrics | 18 years ago |
In real life right now, I am in difficult situation. I've fallen in love with one of my friends, but suddenly she's going out with my best friend, even though they both know how much I love her. Oddly, this song reminds me of her so much, even though there never was a girlfriend/boyfriend relationship to begin with. It's mainly the chorus: "Come on, let me hold you / Touch you / Feel you / Always, let me kiss you / Taste you / All night / Always" I love this song so much. |
| Mika – Grace Kelly Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I'm confused. The lyric says "I can be hurtful / I can be purple." To me, it sounds nothing like that. It sounds like "I can be happy / I can be peppy." Anyway, this is an awesome song. |
| Creed – One Last Breath Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I think it's about a guy who is down to the last breath of his life, and in that one moment he thinks back on his entire life. He reflects on his mistakes and wishes he could have those oppurtunities back. He wants to cling to life ("Hold me now"), but he knows that his time is coming to an end and he isn't fighting it ("Maybe six feet ain't so far down"). | |
| Fat Joe – Make It Rain (feat. Lil' Wayne) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| The lyrics aren't my favorites, but the song is so catchy. I love Lil Wayne and Fat Joe is actually a decent rapper if you listen to him and not Fucker Cent's moronic "beef" tracks. | |
| Mims – This Is Why I'm Hot Lyrics | 18 years ago |
RobotRock... what you just wrote is deeper and more profound then any line in the song I love sarcasm, it makes me feel all warm inside |
| My Chemical Romance – Famous Last Words Lyrics | 19 years ago |
the "i can't make you stay" part reeeeeally reminds me of a different song i love. but i can't... remember... what... it... is! anyway, i love this song too. |
| Fall Out Boy – This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I really like this song actually. I think it's a lot better than the rest of the FOB I've heard. And who else liked how they used the whole Wentz Internet pics in the video? I thought that was great, it showed that the band's just like, "Yeah, whatever" about that whole thing and now they can just laugh at it. |
| Red Hot Chili Peppers – Hey Lyrics | 19 years ago |
^^ Look a little closer... different song :) Snow (Hey Oh) may be about cocaine, and for all I know this could be too... but they're 2 different songs |
| Gym Class Heroes – Faces In The Hall Lyrics | 19 years ago |
This song is incredible... there's a HUGE lesson in the lyrics. I'm confused though... on iTunes this song is titled "Graduation Day" and "Faces in the Hall" is something about how his girlfriend is great with a line "if I had to choose her or the son, I'd be one nocturnal son of a gun." I'm just starting to listen to GCH, so are these 2 mixed up? Or what? |
| Eminem – My Name Is Lyrics | 19 years ago |
graoe: The first one you mentioned was the edited version, at least the well-edited version. They changed it instead of blanking it. I like it more when they do that. What I like about this song is the lyrics are speaking of how screwed up his life used to be, i.e. Cleanin' Out My Closet-esque lyrics ('If you see my dad, tell him I slit his throat in this dream I had') but it's still one of those fun, amusing, catchy Eminem songs. |
| OutKast – Rosa Parks Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Has anyone heard the 2Pac/Snoop remix? That's hot. There's also one with Eminem which I wanna hear, but I haven't yet. |
| Matchbox Twenty – Unwell Lyrics | 19 years ago |
This song, to me at least, is kind of depressing... Like, the guy has some problems, maybe schizophrenia(sp) or something, but because of it people talk about him, reject him. He's trying to tell them that he's not insane, he's not crazy. Makes me sad. But it's a great song. |
| Santana – Why Don't You and I (feat. Chad Kroeger) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
faria: What happened was: Chad Kroeger wrote the song and recorded it for the Santana album. When Arista said they were going to release it as a single, Nickelback's label refused because having Kroeger in an eye-catching single might take attention away from The Long Road which Nickelback was releasing. Kroeger suggested Alex Band should rerecord the song, and he did, and Band is on the single version. Album version has Kroeger. As LucyLu said, it's just a plain old love song. Santana is a legendary guitarist - Clapton, Hendrix caliber. |
| Eminem – Stan Lyrics | 19 years ago |
True story. I love this song. It has such a deep meaning, and the eerie, ominous lyrics put together with Dido's 'Thank You' (a song that is usually beautiful but when used in 'Stan' is turned into a bone-chattering melody) are perfect. |
| Fort Minor – Where'd You Go? Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I know Mike once said "My wife cries whenever she hears 'Where'd You Go.'" So there you go. Also, for those who are confused, Jonah Matranga is in this song - he sings the chorus with Holly Brook except for the first time. I love the song, but sometimes it seems a little simple. When you look deeper at The Rising Tied album, there are songs that are so much more in-depth than the singles out now (Remember the Name, Petrified, Where'd You Go.) If you hear Right Now you'll know what I mean. On the other hand, the lyrics are so hardhitting. I can honestly say that they touched me. I love the words and I love Holly's voice, I'm amazed with the ability of all the people who worked on this song and the entire album. |
| Fort Minor – Slip Out The Back Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I completely agree with lucyb85 and eatamuffin. From the lyric that eatamuffin posted, it seems like he was trying to get away from "you," feeling as if he would've only made things worse... like he didn't deserve to stay or something. | |
| Fort Minor – In Stereo Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Great song. I dunno if any people will agree with this, but I think the music (not lyrics) just the instrumentals and lyrics sound fairly similar to Linkin Park, just because it's like... experimental. | |
| Lloyd Banks – On Fire Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Wherever I go it always says Eminem's on this song, but he isn't. Is he? Why does everything say that? Good song, yeah... |
| Fort Minor – Cigarettes Lyrics | 19 years ago |
The lyrics tell so much truth that it's unreal. And the metaphor might go deeper than some think, because with most of these gangsta rappers hip-hop and cigarettes go hand-in-hand. The Game, 50, Snoop Dogg, they all smoke. It seems like Shinoda is telling off these hip-hop people for using cigarettes and smoke to me. |
| Fort Minor – Remember The Name Lyrics | 19 years ago |
^ I hope you're kidding, lmao. I like how each person in the song (Mike, Ryu, Tak) each talk about themselves in third person. It would be cool in first person, but the third person kinda gives a feel to it, like they're talking about a different guy. Sounds cool. Also, is the background music strings? It sounds kinda like a cool way to use the cello or something, lmao. (Hey, if Miri Ben-Ari can get Fabolous and Kanye on a track with violin, why not give it a shot?) |
| Fort Minor – Right Now Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Just to add: I really hope this is the next hit. High Road would be a good one to be a hit too, but I want this one to become mainstream so people can really hear it. And yeah, I'd like to see a video of this. |
| Fort Minor – Red To Black Lyrics | 19 years ago |
This kid, Victor, had a hard-drinking father, who went blowing all the money the family had on drinking and drugs. The mom was sick of this, so she left, not stopping to think of Victor... leaving Victor in his father's shadow pushed him to do exactly as hid dad did. Sad story. Brilliant song, though. |
| Fort Minor – Right Now Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I have to say, this is my favorite song on the album. I think it flows so well. The lyrics touch me and just make me so thankful for my family, all the belongings I've ended up with, all my great friends... because there are people out there without that. Best song. |
