Ok ok I love rock. Listen to it all the time. Know most bands. Love deep lyrics. Ma best friend listens to hip hop. He loves that. Now, I dunno why I almost don't see ANYONE beside me and him that's ok and actually listens to the other sides music. maybe hip-hop doesn't have deep lyrics, they don't want them etheir. They simply wanna rap and let people understand it. Still, I don't get most lines cuz they're gansta lines. Gangsta lines are like deep lyrics, only hip-hop version. Now every rock/emo/screamo/goth thinks rap is all mumbling and "yaknowhai'msayinyouknowhai'msayin" all the time. It's not. Hip-hoppers think rock is all "YEAH I WANNA KILL MYSELF LIFE SUCKS *scream scream*" It's not. Try listening to some of the other sides music, and give it a chance. Forget everything you think about it and pretend you don't hate it. Ask some of the guys from the other side if they know some good hiphop or rock songs. If that doesn't work. Ask more. Wow....a lot of different suggestions and comments on this one...but I found one that I think fits a lot..maybe it's wrong, but whatever....fallen angels comment.. "for me. this song is about him having "half-friends", friends that are his friends but aren't because he's not close to them & cant talk to them and tell them how he feels because they don't really care. so he's saying take me and let me in, so he can have someone to talk to because he feels shut out & alone and wants to be part of something. thats how I interpret the song and i can really relate to that because i'm in the same situation right now:-( " I've been in the same situation before, and I know, it's hard to find real friends that you can trust, isn't it? |
