Heroin or otherwise, bad lyrics! The heat was hot....what is THAT? or how about "plants and birds and rocks and...things..."? You know it IS a cool melody, but there are just too many poetic charlehorses in this one! Further to that, as a former DJ I can assure you no one (except maybe the BBC) banned this song. It was a flippin #1 hit! Neil Young was in Crosby Stills Nash and Young, Buffalo Springfield and a bunch of other bands you probably have never heard of, But not America Not every reference to Horses is about drugs, though that would explain some of the unfortunate lyrics, and....well that's about it. Rant over, Dog out. |
