i know it is about the film but i also like how the words take on new sounds in the song, and it makes it seem like they are singing about the 'girl' he is always mentioning. 'don't know about you but i am un chien andalusia' sounds a lot like 'don't don't about you but i am doing SHIT, m'gonna lose you' my two cents |

i am both parallel and reciprocal to this song the first verse. i am four years older and not cool enough. i started smoking and looking like i dont care. then i realised it was him who was not good enough for me all along. people said why would i want to go out with him? he is the one constantly smoking weed and that is all his life is. though love hurts, it makes me realise i am better off without him. and i beat myself up thinking im not good/cool enough for him. how stupid of me. so anyway, my analysis: there's a limit to what nature can do = there's a limit to chemistry and the feeling of love. the rest is what you can do for the other person. i.e. she couldn't have gone on loving him in this present state if she wanted to because he is a bum, and even pure love cannot glaze over that fact. maybe this is what i would have realised with time? |

in the first few verses it seems like he is talking to someone...who is maybe sexually frustrated (literally playing with himself) and the narrator is trying to explain to him why he doesn't have these urges...perhaps he is asexual (which is why he is not excited when he says 'you're playing with someone else'...there is no different inflection. this is a song about an indifferent man. not unloved at all. maybe loved by many. just perhaps maybe life has made him like this hollow husk...but i dont think he is sad by it. i think he is content, like he has one up on others as he doesn't have love to worry about. this is what i think. because that is how i think. i dont love anyone. well, maybe my family. |

this song doesnt have enough comments. tis kick ass. i dont know what it is about exactly. but the first time i listened to it, i thought it was about crazy ecentrics doing what the hell they want for no good reason. and it makes me like life because sometimes that is what life is about. doing something that doesnt neccessarily make sense to everyone else, but can be very important to that person |
