Aggie2008: "Females are more emotional than men, it's a fact..."
shocking, the sexist thinks that sexism doesn't exist in this song!
i'd be interested to know how this "fact" has been proven. you do know that that is a requirement of a "fact," right? and what a strange choice of words, opposing "females" to "men." |

how wonderful! the same old misogynistic bullshit wrapped in a fun dance beat and falsely "edgy" lyrics. remember girls, it's okay to make out with another girl, as long as you're actually straight and really good looking and you write a song about it that plays into sexist male fantasies. way to go, katy perry, in making it even more difficult for authentic homosexual voices to be heard! i wonder if she remembers how she was a virginal christian artist two years ago? her desperation to make a buck is kind of tragic. |

"the problem couldn't possibly be with me, so the problem must be with the way her dad treated her. so please, dads, moms, whoever, raise your girls well so that they'll realize how awesome i am and fuck me!"
god, i hate this prick. |

illkickyouinthenuts, i think this song can pretty obviously be about an ex, or at least about a girl, considering he yells "SHE drives me insane" a bunch of times in the song, and lines like "she'll never let me down again." i suppose it could be a metaphorical "she," but i don't know what that would represent. and i also don't see why a song about his previous "amoral lifestyle" (if you must refer to it that way) can't also include references to a poisonous ex girlfriend. they're not mutually exclusive. |

i think it's pretty clear that this song is about a homosexual relationship (one night stand?). "this is not the way we procreate" and "when you burn in hell" all references to judeo-christian intolerance of homosexuality. also, the voice that says "i'm up for it if you are handsome" is clearly a man. |

i agree that this song is about drugs, but i think there's more to it. i think that the speaker has come to a place where he's not restricted by any kind of moral code, and he realizes that if everything is okay, and everything is right, then there's nothing to fight for, and nothing means anything - "big nothing" |
