Nobody give me shit for asking this question. I know that this song is a recipie. And I don't know if anyone posted this b/c there are too many comments. Is it true, when this song first came out, that tool almost got sued b/c some people thought this song was one of Hitler's speaches? I know that some people thought that this song was one of hitler's speeches....I don't need anyone explaining the song to me....I just want to know if it's true that Tool almost got taken to court for that. I heard this many years ago. |

I found this on www.Ultimateguitar.com I don't know if it was a real quote from the singer, but it makes sense. His mother wasn't the only one he hurt, it was alot of people. He just chose his mother for the music video. |

My dad told me that LZ always seemed to make refrences to Lord of the Rings. Ramble on talks about Mordor, the ring, and Gollum. He knows that for sure about Ramble on......but as for other songs, he doesn't know for sure if they were really making refrences to Lord of the Rings. He just enjoyed their music. |

Ok, I got to page two of everyone's comments and gave up reading everything since their really wasn't any intellegent comments. So I don't know EVERYTHING that everybody posted, but THIS SONG IS NOT ABOUT THE LORD OF THE RINGS! They did write a song, however, about the Lord of the Rings. And someone made a comment that back than that that movie wasn't out......you idiot, Lord of the Rings was a trilogy... BOOKS!!! J.R. Tolken was the author. The hobbit.....Jesus, what are they teaching in guys in school now a days. Second, do you really think that artists take their time putting hidden messages into their songs? Think about the process that bands go through to make a song....and than while they are on something go, "Hey, we should put a hidden message in there." Think about the time, the rewritting of songs. Think about it......It would take longer for a record to come out. And with today's technology you can have something say whatever you want it to say if you mess with it enough. Plus, if you are expecting to hear it you will. And whoever the idiot was that took a LZ record and started to play it backwards on a record player....YOU ARE AN IDIOT FOR MESSIN UP A GREAT RECORD |
