| Hi...the backstory to this song sticks out in my mind quite vividly. I remember hearing this song for the very first time on a car ride on a Saturday morning in like 4th grade on the way to Japanese language school. It was on Rick Dees Top 40 countdown on KIIS FM. If memory serves me correctly, i'm pretty sure she wrote this song in the hospital at her grandfather's (maybe dad's like a user suggested above) deathbed. Anyway...it is a great song...I've just recently rediscovered it and forgot how much I really enjoyed this song. | |
