After reading some of the comments hear i can totally relate to this song now, and the meaning. I think that it's about someone who's screwed their life up and wants to "break the habit" of hurting themselves and others.
I'm going through that now, i've made a shitload of mistakes recently, lost a lot of friends because of it and really can't see any light at the end, i want to fix it up, but there really doesn't seem to be much chance of that, and i've rediscovered some old feelings, a little voice that says just end it. I know people that have gotten through this kind of thing, and i've done it myself before, so i know all the advice, but it's really fucking hard to remember now |

Well, I always thought it was about a bouncer or guard who's secretly in love with the woman, i always thought she worked at a bar but i can see the stripper angle. He becomes protective of her and wants to hurt anyone who threatens her or even approached her with the wrong idea. I can relate to that situation totally, one of my friends is like that, everytime some guy sees her they just gawk and try coming onto her... really fucking annoying. |
