uhhh. wtf? What are all you people talking about, 'emo', 'rock', or whatever? Dude. MCR THEMSELVES describe their music as 'violent pop music'. That's that. |

It was apparently overplayed when it first came out, but after a couple of years of no more play it grows even better. :) Just like Chasing Cars [Snow Patrol] will probably be. I totally think it's about a loved one who went on a journey [whether it's death, or a trip away from everything familiar.] And guys, stop being so heterosexist. It doesn't HAVE to be about a boy and a girl. It can be either sexuality. :| Even IF it's a guy singing it. |

It seems to me that the person who's singing is talking about someone dead. These lyrics: "You're cold maybe you just miss the sun" and "Your friends hold the lullabys; they watch the way the night lies" sound like a funeral. The entire song sounds like someone remembering whomever the dead person is, that they had a relationship with that person, so on. And the lonliness theme everyone else is talking about fits in that context. ;) Love the song, of course. |

I think this band has a load of potential. :) What I don't get, though, is how this band constitues as Christian rock; where does it say that? Sure, the lyrics can be interpreted as being Christian, but I have yet to see a statement where it says this band is Christian. So someone please tell me where this band has stated that they are Christian rock? Not that I have anything against it; I'm just curious. Otherwise, I think that, Biblical inferences or no, they're just an awesome rock band. With pretty lyrics. |
