there could me a second meaning beneath... it really sounds to me like she invites all the boys who are left and abandoned to love. that she cheers them up, uses them a bit, but at least she makes them feel better with all her love like a "i must love all those who need it"-syndrome... what du you think abou that? i think it fits especially the part with the bedroom dresser etc. |

at first i didn't like the song very much, because i didn't get what it was really about. i couldn't stand the tought that it was just about masturbating... then i got it was about loneliness. i mean, she sings the whole beginning without any emphasis. to me it shows that, being alone, nothing's really worth doing, after all it's all really boring. because of that she usually doesn't get up early. (what for? the day wouldn't probably be worth it.) with a partner, she could have some nice breakfast. instead she makes coffee and eats rice chex. now it would be the time for talking about what they will do today, enjoyable chatting. but she doesn't really have got a partner, so she checks her inbox. and everything people write don't have any meaning to her at all. now she begins to masturbate, and she does it without any love, like she does everything. having sex (what she is doing with herself) is a thing, she realises, that should be connected with love. but, instead of having sex with a partner after breakfast, she satisfacts her needs by herself, what is not at all comparable to having sex with a partner. the lines "i am too busy to have friends a lover would just complicate my plans so i will never look for love again i'm taking matters into my own hands" probably refer to a plan she once made, but now the is realising how dumb she was thinking it could work out. and now she's singing this in some sarcastic way. and the last few lines totally emphasise her loneliness. i love the way she sings them, it's so damn emotional |
