Okay, this is kind of a long shot...but has anyone ever thought of it the other way around? I don't know if i only see it this way because i relate it to my current situation but just hear me out. I see it as written from the standpoint of the guy the girl was cheating on her boyfriend with. And for some reason the girl just up and left the guy she was cheating with to go back to her boyfriend, so the guy is pissed off because he really liked her. And now by saying: I've got more wit A better kiss A hotter touch A better fuck Than any boy you'll ever meet he is trying to make her see how much better he is and what a mistake she made. I say this all b/c the lyrics don't indicate the two were ever really dating, and 'Sweetie, you had me' could just mean 'had' in a strictly physical way. Also: 'Well, then think of what you did And how I hope to God he was worth it' could be saying sarcastically that he hopes her boyfriend really worth it because she really screwed things over with him now. The part: 'Where the shock sets in And the stomach acid finds a new way to make you get sick I sure hope you didn't expect to get all of the attention Let's not get selfish' Applies to the guilt of cheating on her boyfriend, and as well as the girl, even though she had a boyfriend, was trying to keep the guy she was cheating with away from other girls. And as far as the cameraman thing goes, i think it just may be referring to the drama of the whole situation. In particular, my own where her boyfriend found out along with the rest of the school and 'the focus' was on the two of us for a while. Again this is probably stupid, and probably wont make any sense to any one but its just how i relate it because its whats happening to me. |
