you know its like the bible... you can read something once and get one thing out of it... but when you read it again.. you get something totally different, time and time again. I have read this one verse in Romans and each time time I read it is relevant to my life..and i get something totally different. Maybe the band meant one thing but to us it means another... but the affect on us is still the same, it still opens our eyes to the truth. no matter what you can enjoy it. but really.. there are so many ways to look at it |

well if you look at it this way you can't keep living off of an experience from God that was in the past, you always have to have something new and that old hype won't get you through.. it won't help you keep a relationship with God. if you look at Thissettingsun's lyrics

could this mean that you can't earn your way to God? or saying that when you die all of these things, like a highscore on a video game won't matter, it won't help you get to where you want to spend eternity.

i love it too! i have the chorus totally stuck in my head. it almost gets me thinking about heaven, imagining the voices singing in heaven, the angels, god, praises, and them waiting for us. the bells ringing in all of the fun greeting new arrivals.

from the christian opinion i think it is meaning dont put off becoming a christian. The rapture could be just around the corner. even if you have made alot of mistakes you can still be saved. and every day brings us closer to the end to the rapture if you put it off things will not turn out good and from just pure laziness. Nothing on this earth matters. at least thats what i think. i just realized this meaning this very minute. ive been reading a book called SOON by Jerry Jenkins and the main character goes through alot of debates that are discribed in this song. |

that post sums it up now i really understand. i am not the best at interpreting poetry. this song reminds me too much of my sisters life story. it is a very good song. i love switchfoot because their songs are too true. its not just another one of those pop songs that nobody can relate to. their songs aren't about trash like someone putting on makeup on a saturday night. i love all of their songs for not only the truth but i love the guitar and drums.
