To me, I can see the background lyrics at the end of the song still being the mother. I'm really not convinced on the first two lines, but "Never have to find my baby in the crowd/I should be laughing right now" seem right. Those two lines SEEM like it could be the mother's way of trying to make herself feel better by essentially saying that she never has to worry about her daughter again, i.e. she'll never have to look for her in a crowd of people if she's missing and she should feel relieved about that. |

First of all, could the first line be, "Kate, it's your ride..." And I like the idea of the first part being from the mother's perspective, the second part ("The signal interrupts...") from the driver's persepctive, and the last part ("I love you so much...") from the mother's again. |
