Okay just here me out. I could be wrong but this is what I got out of it: "I see it shining with my eyes closed I hear your warnings but we both know I'm gonna look at it again" The sun a metaphor for a possible relationship. He wants to go out with the girl however at the same time the girl warns that it doesn't sound like a good idea. Chris is screaming what are you waiting for? Hurry up cause this time will pass. Don't wait! "Lay your armor down." -Trust me. There is no need for you to wear your armor. It is a great summer song. I have very high expectations for their new album.
