Summary: a young woman in a Puritan society (1700s) becomes pregnant. Since it was such a crime back then, she was forced to wear a scarlett letter "A" (for Adultry) to show her sin. Ironically, the father of the baby is the minister. so its basically: judge not lest ye be judged. |
