Its about a guy whos friends with a girl who previously loved him when he didnt love her but now she thinks of them as friends but he starts to love her and he knows that if he tells her that he loves her that it will ruin their friendship. | For one they would have been able to tell that it was acid and two to "shit the bed" means to screw up someone on acid or some who got abducted could do this. If this song is about drugs (which it isnt) its more likely to be about dmt because tool are notorious for dmt use and the song decsribes dmt use better. I think that all of tools songs have deeper meanings in songs that seem simple they do that alot. | |

| Jambi was a country near indonesia i think and i remember hearing in my socials class that the ruler of jambi taunted another government and held out on the invasion for a while.... Jambi is the genie from pewees play house too i think...... The song ties in with both. I think that this song is about ppl biting off more then they can chew which ties in with the line "damn my eyes" (not dim my eyes) cause his eyes were bigger then his stomache and he bit off more then he could chew. The wish it all away lines tie in with the genie line too. I think that this songs deeper meaning is about maynards opinion on ppl who want somthing alot but once they get it or do it or whatever they dont like it anymore. Like (excuse the political incorectness) Indian giving. Thats probably why he says "you believe me dont you, please believe what i just said". And if he was on acid or whatever the docters would have noticed. That probably falls in with the cover as well cause one of my mexican friends was talking about how the art is aztec art. Theres lots of stuff about how the aztecs lived in the sky and how they have lots to do with the sky so that could tie in with daggerfalls theory too. | |

I have lots of friends whos parents smoke pot and tell them not to smoke pot so that could be the main part of the song but tools songs always have some deeper meanings so the song could be about how tired maynard is of hypocrites who talk bad about tool and still listen to it (like trexor). |
