| By far my favorite Bruce song. Its about growing up on the shore. He is looking back on all those days on the boardwalk and how he remembers it all but its also about how he turned away from all of that. If only Asbury Park is like how it used to be, though I did get to see fireworks out on point pleasant beach with a bunch of friends, I am sure its not the same. | |

Absolutly beautiful. I don't quite think its about death. When Brian says 'Let us cling together as the years go by' I don't see it as the person is dieing but rather he is going away for a long time. For example, he could be leaving for war. The first verse I think backs me up by saying that the same moon shines and the same winds blows which to me means that even though they are apart its only the distance that separates them. To me this is the perfect song when your going to leave someone and all you can tell them is to be strong. |

"You wouldn't want to know me somehow" to me seems to be that he has some impure thought, something along the lines of cheating on her or just thinking about screwing her brains out but it definitly seems out of place. The first part (slow part) seems to me that its about a couple that can never find time for each other and when they do its never enough time. The second part (fast part) is about how the girl doesn't admit that they are in love and that she should just admit it and take advantage of the time they have together. This song is also one of the many songs that they just repeat the whole thing over for no apparent reason. If you want to look into it then I would say its just the same thing happens every night that they get together |

This is just one of those songs thats just puts you in a good mood. I highly suggest anybody pick up the whole album because its just awesome. @kfe2: Mostly likely because this is the single version of the song. The album version is much longer then the single is.
