I love how, after a couple of lines of random uninteresting facts, she tells something serious about her feelings, and in the last verse, she puts them all together to get across the whole message of the song. I love it |

I dont know what to make of this song, but this line right here kind of expresses some negativity: Pray for those who have gone from the sunlight that surrounds you Like shes telling someone to pray for those who were in love with that person... kinda weird |

I think this song has meaning on many different levels, it could be applied to war between countries, or to a war between two people, a break up. When i listen to it, i mainly think about it as a person that was deeply hurt by someone and hasa lot of resentment cuz of what they did. "And if you’re well off, well then I’m happy some for you. But I’d rather not celebrate my defeat and humiliation here with you. " That shows that shes "happy" for how the other person is, but she doesnt want to stick around with that person because he reminds her of the humiliation she went thru with him. And all that anger she has comes thru in the next lines when shes talkin about executing everything that matters to that person..."friends...family...bears and the air...etc etc" And at the end, is the best part of the song... "And lastly, you’re all alone with nothing left but sleep. But sleep never comes to you, it’s just the guilt and forever wakefulness of the weak. It’s just you and me…. " After executing everything that the person cares about, and goes to find peace in his sleep, sleep wont come to that person, because all he is left with is guilt...BRILLIANT! The guilt=him, the weak=her I think this is her most powerful song, Jenny is a poet of our times. |

I-LOVE-THIS-SONG I definately can relate to feeling alone "with or without you" but just being around the person "offers me another form of relief" And the whole portions for foxes thing, i dont think its about one being the women and another being the men, its about EVERYONE, because she states "WE'll all be, portions for foxes" We are all just meat, and what i think is that, as "meat" we succumb to out weaknesses, one of them being sex, as she tells many times in this song. |

This song is about someone who feel deeply for someone, and she felt "liek a rocket in the sky," but now apparently, the guy doesnt call or repond back like he used to, so now she's a "rocket in disguise" I used to think this was a great love song, but then i realized that its actually pretty sad... =( |
