hey dudes thats quite an arguement you had going there. i just want to ask to not mock or make fun of or curse upon what we believe in, zao wasnt exactly a christian band at the end of their career, but they called themselves christians in a band, and they were a christian band, meaning zao will have many christian fans like myself and others, so please refrain from using words like that. and would there be so many christian metal bands and other christian bands if God wasn't real or worth it? look at the lyrics, those were inspired by God and Zao's existance wouldnt have come about without God, b/c when they started they were nothing more than four friends praising Jesus. and its cool if you're not a christian and you listen to them b/c they're metal, its better than listening to mudvayne or something. but there are many christians who listen to Zao so please watch what you say. and BTW what does HxC stand for? ive seen it used alot i just dont know what it means. and everyone go to www.demonhunter.net and listen to the mp3s, demon hunter is awesome. i know this doenst make a huge difference but it was
Dan's brother who commited suicide. man that guy went through alot his step brother died inn a car accident and his other brother killed himself, and with all his panic attacks and obsessive compulsive disorder and post traumatic stress sydrom, its a wonder that guy can go on. |

this song is self explanitory, even through the evil corrupt world he's going to keep God and the spirit of Jesus and everything alive in his heart and he wont ever let it die. shawn jonas is so awesome he's the coolest i so want to meet him someday. and hes also coming up with a new band called symphony in peril they're already touring with shawn as lead screamer! i cant wait for a CD shawn is awesome. |

i think thats exatly right, thanks dude i was wondering about this song even though its pretty obvious im just not a deep thinker. but i love the part at the end when he says "consumed by fire, consumed, by fire to (and then he stops screaming but says) purge (with the guitar in the backround) their blood (starts screaming in the backroudn)from my hands. that part is the best. |

this song is awesome, my first zao experience was with lies of serpents...., i heard it and i was like, yeah....great....hes screaming. then i decided to give it a try, and one day, zao clicked in my mind. and zao has been the best ever since! also, great song. Dan has troubles in his life with his obsessive compulsive disorder, i dont know if he still has it. and also his panic attacks, and hes looking for comfort and a place to rest and get away from it. and i think that hes saying that God is that someone, and all the relief you need is in him. but if thats the meaning, the name has got me wondering. autopsy? o well awesome song

yeah its about the evils of abortion, Dan saw a video on it, and the doctor came in with the scalpel and just sliced the babys arm off, and cut it apart piece by piece, just so they could dispose of it easier. and the baby had its mouth open , screaming silently with no one to help. i read another article on a different abortion that this lady wrote who had an abortion, they put a vaccum inside of her and sucked the baby out, and it pulled the baby apart, and the baby is feeling everything that is going on. then later the woman who had an abortion was getting dressed and she saw a trashcan, looked inside and saw the baby's remains. nice toknow it was properly disposed, by throwing its body parts in an ordinary trashcan. those doctors need to be locked in a dark room and forced to listen to tool to scream over and over again (with lyrics of course) until they like it. they do abortions many different ways, sometimes just smotherin the baby after it was born. all of it is sick. |

awesome input koihoshi man, my parents are like that they think "o its nothing but hard rock" and i say "first of all the term is 'death metal' and its all about Jesus. once you memorize the lyrics like i have done its great. not thats its not good when you dont have the lyrics memorized. and it takes extreme talent to do what he does. i know you've all heard tool to scream, at zero, and the buzzing etc, where he goes way deep and keeps the volume up times 10 and its extremely hard to do that. you have to build up your voice over the years with practice and stuff. so yeah this song is about his desceased brother, its very sad his other brothr commited suicide thats what "to think of you is to treasure an absent memory" is about |

hey dudes all your explanations of the song are deep... im not able to think that way but thats just me. anyway but i read an interview with jesse, he's the one who sings it BTW dan doesnt sing, but in the interview he said that its about how when they go out on the road and tour and everything fans and other people think they know everyabout zao just b/c they bought they're CD, and zao isnt really how they think that the are, get it? in other words the people think they know zao and everything about them, and they but they really dont understand. i dont know how to explain it try and find the interview somewhere =) anyway thats just what i heard |

this song is basically the same as five year winter its just not expressing the harsh feelings over the breakup and hes saying he wont let go "and for a lifetime, i will dream of you..." "unable to be erased, unable to be forgotten.." and how sad he is about it. so basically its about loving someone when they dont love you back and the feeling you feel after a breakup. |
