Daniel Powter – Styrofoam Lyrics 19 years ago
I don't think the lyrics come close. This is my attempt:

Drowning with the poor man
Realize, sister, I love you still
I'd try to come back if I could
I fake it on the weekends.
Annie's ex-boyfriend is alittle tired
of being alone, misunderstood.

I pay the bills, I paid them all
Isn't this an ordinary song,
Styrofoam

I don't ever feel washed
Like grass stains
And I'm stone cold, whatever's left
I'm too tied up to come on down.
Write it down on pamphlets
Perfect, or just perfect whatever's left
It's not so easy when you're gone

And some of them good,
and some that were bad
But I won't be using 'alone', cause I'm alone
Styrofoam

And some of them good,
and some that were bad,
But I won't be using 'alone', cause I'm alone
Styrofoam, Styrofoam

I agree. The lyrics don't come close to what is being said. But I can't figure out a lot of it either. What's funny though, is that to me, Daniel Powter sounds just like Macy Gray in this song. But I like Macy Gray, so I think this is great song!

10cc – I'm Not In Love Lyrics 19 years ago
Wow, I took a completely different spin on the lyrics. How about a gay guy who is still in the closet and is using a heterosexual relationship to hid his 'nasty stain on the wall?' It's just a phase he is going through, because he is not brave enough yet to come out of the closet. He keeps trying to tell people, "It's because..." but then loses his courage.
The haunting words of comfort for his lonely tears only remind him that is not like other 'big boys.'
The girl will be waiting a long time for him, because his gay feelings just won't go away.
