Amazing song, off definetly one of their best albums..at first i just thort it was about the obvious. But this song goes to many levels, such as..."the bridge that parts us from them" being the cultural division between blacks and whites in the past, or just some sort of division between to places. and billys daughter is represented as a hero, martin luther king for e.g. tryin to get everybody close and 'civilised' by risking her own life. anyway this is js wat i first thought, I'm not sayin it correct just my interpretation. amazin song tho!! |

I think this song is about to people who are meant for each other. They are "lying there, together, forgetting the world" dreaming of growing old and living together, just these two people and "chasing cars" means chasing these fantasies which they are dreaming of. They dream of living seperate and away from the worries and problems of the world and the line "I don't know where, confused about how as well, just know that these things will never change for us at all" backs this up because he doesnt care how it happens he just knows that this is what he wants in life.... |

I do believe this song is about a murder in a Kelly's home village and i agree with 'grandslamgirl' that small villages drive young boys to so much boredom and depression that they do resort to suicide. And i think 'and the train runs late for the first time' and 'Yet the train runs on and on' is an indication of the routine of events and how everything is always the same in this village. An amazing song and one of the Sp best!! |

'just dont forget about us', and 'remember the gud tyms we had, snow fitin and l8 nyts and the fun tyms, not the bad things arguin and stuff' i fink it is amazing how real life this song is, and wat a voice she has!! |
