ok so in response to various comments - 1- i don't think the line "when your only friends are hotel rooms" is talking about temporary sexual partners in a sleazy motel. i think it's about when you have nothing left but basically your life. 2- i have heard that this is about his grandmother or what-not dying. but i think it's pointed towards realizing when you have lost someone or something dear to you and you feel alone that you aren't really alone., and as hard as it may be, you know that you still need to praise the lord for your life no matter how empty it may seem. 3- the video was about a girl dying and her boyfriend visiting her and making everything seem better while he was with her, even though he was dying inside.. it all sorta ties into the song. the hotel rooms could be where the boyfriend was staying while she was in the hospital and so on. 4- "So, Laugh and Love Live free and sing When life is in discord Praise ye the Lord" - i agree the most amazing lyrics 5-i think it's complacent violins. not complaints of violence or violins or complacent violence or whatever. which also ties into the video. - i love this song so much |

i love this song!!! it says i love you more times than any mushy gushy over done love song without ever saying the word love. it's so simplistic and innocent. people try to put how they feel into big drawn out drama that never really does their love justice, but this song says everything while staying true to the innocence of discovering love |

ok people. first of all, i love kurt and nirvana just as much as the rest of you, and while i do think some foo songs relate back to kurt, i don't think this is one of them."Swinging from the chandeliers"- yah i guess this could be pointed back to kurt, but the line - "I remember watching you once upon a time Dancing from across the room"- would be pretty wierd if he was talking about kurt. i mean how many straight men would talk about watching someone dance if they were talking about a guy... idk just my opinion |

i agree with pureindisguise. love is a crazy ride and you do feel like you're lost at sea most of the time, but then all it takes is a look or a touch and you're not scared of love anymore, cuz you know the other person will take of you. | i think she's dealing with herself on two different levels. she has changed her image to fit in but she's almost haunted by the geeky person she used to be because inside she's still that person. i think she's trying to tell her old self please don't make me cry because she knows that she can change the outside but not the inside. the video suggests a ghost but i think the person she used to be was afraid and is now having to tell herself she doesn't want to be that person anymore. but hey that's just my take on it. :] | |
