Glad another non-believer has found pretty much the same exsct meaning in the song as me. You just explained it alot simpler. |

I didn't get the true message of this song until I started to read it here. I am not a religious person by any means but from the first time I heard it I knew it was a beautiful song. I actually thought it was about two people who were in love, and one of them cheated or did something to hurt the other person yet the love felt was unconditional by the person hurt who wanted to be able to take the other back and help them be stronger because of that love. And all those things said in the second verse sounded like thing you would say to someone you care about. Than I came here and discovered its about Jesus de la Crus. >.< But in the end it makes sense considering he has an unconditional love for all. |

I am surprised no one has commented on this great song. I am trying to figure out how exactly I take this song, I mean, it seems forward but I can't say what I think. |

I am starting to lean towards the HIV/AIDs meaning after reading what others have put. I ananlyzed just a few parts that had me confused. ------------------------------------------------------------ contusion is hungry they still eat their young proto-culture null and void ===================================== I didn't know that a contusion was a bruise until I looked it up. That made things a little bit more clear. When it said that the "contusion is hungry" I thought of what "hungry" could mean. Maybe the bruise is spreading and growing, devouring anything in its path. "They still eat their young" defends that. It just goes to prove that it doesn't matter what it takes down, it will just keep consuming and growing depsite whats someone think is important. You can compare the unsatiable bruise as a virus or something like that. So it makes sense to me in that way. |
