| Also another note. Reznor seems to be going after himself alot in this one too. In the music video he smashes a plate with his picture, and throws some of his won albums in a toilet. USing Starfucker as his title (referinhg to the tori amos song refering to courtney love) is kind of a way of him insulting himself aggain. I think Reznor relized that he messed thigns up between himself and Amos by having anything to do with Courtney love. ALso note that after dating Courtney Love and Tori AMos hating that whole relationship (many references in the Boys for pele album) He did not release anything new for quite some time and became a very bad alcoholic, and supposedly very much into Heroin also. IN many interviews hes said that he had to fight off some adictions and gets some things in order and thats why it took him 6 years to relases the next album. Back to the main point, that song was written right before be took a 6 year break right after ruining things with Tori Amos, (which it seems he blamed on himself, thus making him hate himself) | |

Ok first of all there are way to many links to Tori Amos and her Professional Widow song for that to not be on porpouse. Trent Reznor and Tori Amos have been good freinds for quite some time and even dated for a while. This being said, there is no way him using Starfucker as the title, and Starfucker being used in one of her songs, could be a coincidence. That had to be in his mind when he chose that. Also it was rumored that Courtney Love was the reason they broke up (making her queen fucking bitch, because they would have made some KICK ASS music together). Rumor also has it that Profession Widow is about Courtney love and her killing Kurt Kobain. In the Starfucker music video during the, "all the pain how did you think we'd get by without you? you're so vain i'll bet you think this song is about you", part it has video of someone that looks a TON like Courtney Love. Trent Reznor has also been quoted on his disdain for courtney Love. I think Starfuckers attacks most of the people Reznor hated at the time, Marilyn Manson, self absorbed stars, and most of all Courtney Love (for ruining things between him and Tori Amos). |
