Wait. The pastors wife. She wouldn't have been that old when she died? What killed her? On the album cover, the killer is portrayed as a young man. Not the pastor. What if the female accomplice is the pastors wife? Perhaps he tried to kill her, thought she was dead, and this is her revenge? Perhaps the male killer is not the pastor, but someone under him. Lost his faith when he realized what happened? Now he and the pastors supposedly dead wife are working together? So many damn possibilities. Help? |

So, I'm pretty sure it isn't the pastor. The only sighting of the killer says he is 5'11. The pastor is 6'1. There are a few inferences that make it seem that way though. I am sure the pastor is closely entwined with the murders. Such as the girl in church cloths murdered, the mention of the pastor in Drawing the Devil. I think what was carved is a code, sort of. "Christ no more" ... The pastor's name was Chris T Monroe. ChrisT. A play on words, perhaps. So, a pastor was mentioned in drawing the devil. Also a gun, when a gun was not used in the murder. "Behind her devilish figure, behold the smoking gun" Also, there is the mystery of who the female alluded to, and in the recording in number 9 was. I'm still theorizing. I'll repost when and if I think of something else. |

Sorry to double post, but also, what about the album cover? I see a couple of possibilities. I think the killer is presumed dead. I see an article that says "boy found dead". I think that the killer is young, still a boy. "i walked and searched for 18 years and died for nothing" Also, that thing hanging from his chair is either a police badge, possibly a locket. Hm. More questions than answers. |

Is anyone thinking of the possibility that he knows the detective or cop that is intercepting these notes? This last one seems to be speaking to someone specific. |

| Drop Dead, Gorgeous – The Pleasure To End All Pleasures Lyrics | 18 years ago |

Okay. I just got an idea. The message left on her answering machine said "maybe this time I've gone a little too far, but you had it coming" That means if she were dead, she couldn't hear it. I think this has to do with the other victim. He killed a man, for what reason, I don't know. It's uncharacteristic of him so far to kill men. Possibly she took another lover, made him jealous, who knows. the "for every boy" part is incinuating she's done this before, and she victimizes her lovers' feelings over and over, and it's finally catching up with her. So I think the "you love her...no you don't" is to him, and the "you're better.. you're bitter. your better of without" part is to her. He kills her lover, then leaves a message saying "maybe this time I've gone a little too far, but you had it coming" As a sick way of telling her he did it. Then she couldn't shut her mouth and possibly told someone, or wanted/threatened to. So he killed her, pissed off as hell. I could be completely wrong. It's just what I find logical. there's also a message saying "did you get my call? so I know you're home." Any ideas? |

| Drop Dead, Gorgeous – They'll Never Get Me (Word With You) Lyrics | 18 years ago |

"Call me the dark angel" was a note. If you look carefully you can pick out the notes from songs. This, and the final part of "i want to master life and death" are pretty obviously showing that he thinks he is an angel of death. I think he killed her, to keep her pure. "don't touch me, don't trust me" She's obviously religious, and seemingly wants him, hence him having to tell her not to tempt him. Crooked cross, religious but going astray.. if he kills her, she stays pure, merely a victim. "Forgot my name, forgot where I came from, i died getting here, make me gold, I'm waiting." This is not the only reference he makes of his death. "i walked and search for 18 years and died for nothing" is stated in another song. I don't know what to make of him speaking of his death. He's alive.. so.. hm. Must mean figurative. Also, in "I want to master life and death" he mentions someone killing him. "i'll do for you what you did to me, even kill", and "you tore through my neck" He thinks he died.. |

| Fall Out Boy – The Carpal Tunnel of Love Lyrics | 18 years ago |

We take sour sips from life's lush lips And we shake, shake, shake the hips in relationships (sour sips from lifes lush lips.. that life has lots to offer but they get the bad, shaking hips is being sexual) [stomp out] this disaster town You'll put your eyes to the sun and say "I know" You're only blinding to keep back what the clouds are hiding (It's a metaphor, damn it. pretty easy to get.) And we might have started singing just a little soon We're throwing stones in a glass room. (spoke to soon, stones is a reference to hypocrisy, commonly used) Whoa, oh We're so miserable and stunning, Woah, love songs for the genuinely cunning (this is that love song, or perhaps infinity on high in general) We keep the beat With your blistered feet We bullet the words at the mockingbirds, singing (mocking birds repeat.. kind of like how people repeat every fucking thing FOB says..like as if they are doing it on purpose) Slept through the weekend, and dreamed We're just sinking with the melody of the kiss of eternity (kiss of eternity, that one kiss where it feels like its forever, then it never happens again because life sucks) Postcards from my former self saying How you been? (things in the past coming to haunt him from who he used to be) (this coming up is my favorite) It was ice cream headaches and sweet avalanche When the pearls in our shells came out to dance (i think the pearl thing is talking about the best, hidden attributes in people) You call me a bad tipper of the cradle. But I'm tired yawns for fawns on hunters lawns. We're the has-beens of husbands- sharpening the knives of young wives. (bad tipper of the cradle. going after young girls. but he can't go after married women. hes what a husband used to be, preparing young girls for men in their future) Take two years and call me when you're better... Take some tears of mine find your self wetter So yeah, this song is nothing but hooks, basically. Hard to interpret, but yeah. Just gather the general idea and love the song. |

| HIM – Endless Dark Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
I can personally relate to this one, and I think I get what it means. It's all in the chorus. "i know where I belong, away from your gods" The singer isn't and can't be religious.. he's a dark soul, and doesn't belong in divinity. He prefers to stay in the "endless dark", but is in love with the person he's singing it to. He prefers to spend his life worshipping their love, the only thing thats ever been real for him. |

| 30 Seconds to Mars – Hunter (Bjork cover) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
"If travel is searching "And home has been found I'm not stopping" If the point of travelling is to find something, and what is found is home..it's not enough. He's going to keep going. "I'm going hunting I'm the hunter I'll bring back the goods But I don't know when" He's the one who will keep searching for 'it'. He'll find it.. but he can't reassure anyone when he will. "I thought I could organize freedom How American of me This is soon You figured it out, didn't you?" Reflecting on being left to do things on his own. "How american of me." I love that line, and his exexution of it. "You could smell it So you left me on my own To complete the mission Now I'm leaving it all behind." He's been abandoned, and will abandon them now. "I'm going hunting I'm the hunter I'm the hunter I'm the hunter You just didn't know me...." Declaring he is the hunter and will not give up, and that they don't know him to think he would. That's what I got out of it. Reminds me of Final Fantasy 7, if anyones played it. The Ancients, or Centra, were the first race on the planet, and were supposed to find the "Promised land" and some of them stopped and found homes elsewhere, but others kept going to find what had been promised to them. Or maybe I'm a gamergeek, but I love the song. |

I agree with Bakismaki, and everyone who shares that interp. Pretty much got it. && to shayness... There are like..1239123810938 songs with "you" as the only reference to the person. But it's not like every one of them has some subtle, homosexual agenda. You are a douche for argueing that point. I'm no homophobe, but yeah. Go back to Sanfransico. |

| Cute Is What We Aim For – Finger Twist And Split Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
He sings so happily about stealing this girl. "your mind is a moment to be stamped" Her mindset, having these thoughts of a night with him should be recorded. "I know where that make up will land" Shaant has an evil plan. "You wanna know what you got" She wants to see if she still has it, being with the same guy for a while. HE has a plan. "Pinching with a moment so tight Undone and lookin just right No not tonight A smeared kiss A moment missed Are you upset with this?" I believe this is describing a moment with her boyfriend, while shes in a hurry to get to him in a hurry. Like "Are you upset with this?" is like sarcasm, cuz shes going to him instead. Awesome song. |

| Cute Is What We Aim For – I Put The 'Metro' In Metronome Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
This song is a combination. It has a message about people who are stuck up, "high class", fake people. When they are in the same position as you.. or on their back for that matter, all that doesn't matter. It's also Shaant just singing about the high class girl. All of cutes songs aren't just about one thing. They always throw in hooks and messages, just to enrich the song. I |

| Tool – Viginti Tres Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Jesus Christ he's RIGHT. Play wings for marie at the same time as 10000 days, then continue to play 10000 days and play viginti tres! ITS PERFECT, and gives you fucking chills. Holy fuck. (Rodney King was just a joke lmao) | |
| Tool – Viginti Tres Lyrics | 19 years ago |

Oh my god. This is simple. You reverse it then speed it up around 7.5x. He clearly says, in latin, french, spanish, greek, and then pig-latin, in that order... "Rodney king deserved the beating. You drink, you drive, you lose." |
