This is my ultimate song. I've had it non-stop in my head for 6 years now. It actually is the one song I got to know ASH with. The chorus is not really in phase with the rest of the song. Because it the chorus, everything seem to be finished between the one guy and the girl he is with, when in the rest of the song, the one guy is so much in love. This song has some great lines: "Good morning sweet thing, you're safe in my hands" Can you actually imagine Tim Wheeler say this to you the morning after?!? "I miss your warm skin besside me at night, and I miss your flesh in the dawn light" which is said in such a sweet voice. This is my very favourite song. And I'm sure it'll stay in my head for a long long time. |

I think Tim's brother is called Pat. But, maybe this is his uncle's name. However, I think uncle Pat is someone who helped them to become well-known. |

I love this song. I think that Tim finds it too cheesy though. But I must say that I first thought that the line was : "when it comes around again, I'll never be the same." which made it so much sweeter. This is a lovely song though. |

I love this song. It actually was part of their early stuff, as they wrote it at 16 I think, but it only was released on their B-Side cd, Intergalactic Sonic 7''. This is such a teenage song: Tim says he wants to find someone different, like he himself is different from all the others: "if you're dreaming you can be my friend we can dream together." And the beginning is just like every teenager - and everyone - feels like at the end of the summer. |

I've always loved this song, I think it's really great, but I began to really understand the lyrics a short time ago. For me, Alex sings about him being away from home, on the road maybe, and missing his girlfriend or ex-girlfriend. But, in the same time, he's happy to be independent and he wouldn't want to stop being on the road. He kind of like this situation when he still has bonds but, in the same time, can do what he wants "I flirt with every flighty thing That falls my way" This really made me think of me, in America for one year, thinking about the boy I used to like, and maybe still like. You know, that's when you think about a person all the time, but are releived that you're so far away from each other and that, for once, you can live your life without thinking about what this person will think. Well, it may be cofusing. It certainly is in my head. Anyway... Franz Ferdinand's the best band! |
