This song is great. Good story teller, It does suck that he doesn't play this at gigs often. I saw him last week and he never played it. I have a live version of this song though. Which is good. He really gets into it.
I agree with everyone who commented really, maybe less with ruddy about that one little thing. But it's a good song, good story, good beat.

This was the last song Xavier did before his encore at The Enmore the other week. For me this song went off. Maybe it was just The Enmore, with all the people singing badly and loudly or maybe it was the lighting when he was doing the instrumental part to this song. But for some reason this song really stuck with me that night.
He said before he played the song that this is about a very special woman to him. I was thinking what his wife, but that wouldn't make sense, but then he said it's about Mother Earth. Which was easy to work out anyway.
Xavier Rudd is one of the most talented if not the most talented musician ever to come out of Australia, he is so good with his lyrics, so talented with his instruments, and what he is doing with the Aboriginal people is truly inspirational, I'm really glad Australia can produce such good musicians.

I saw these guys here in Australia when they were supporting Anberlin, and honestly i nearly fell asleep they were so boring, they need to support someone a lot softer like bright eyes or the spill canvas or something along those lines. I am not saying they are a bad band they are good for their genre but i just cant get into them. they seem to be the music you put on so you can sleep cause thats all they seem to do for me, make me yawn. Oh well Anberlin went off, so they made up for the boringness of Copeland. I suppose any band after Angelas Dish will have expectations to look up to. Any way this is the only song i can stand by them so thats why i am typing on their page. No criticism intended. see you all..

I just wanna say like limp bizcuts music but not them themselves if ya get me.. they used to be my fav band but after wat happened at the big day out in australia i think all aussies hate them :).. yeh i like this song it gets me pumped up for soccer(football) i always listen to it before a game. plus this song is just funny and its good the way they can incorperate the swearing into the lyrics good stuff... thumbs up!!! |
