I agree with TheLionTamer, except for the hallucinations. "I bought a gram of opium seeds" Opium is what makes heroin and also papaverine. Neither of these causes hallucinations. Heroin causes intense euphoria and papaverine is used medicinally to loosen muscles and is non-addictive. My favorite part of this song is "I'm dreaming of papaverin. Hole fallin', I'm lookin' glass lookin'. In the garden of live flowers I'm deep sleepin'." My take on it is that he may be using heroin and takes enough that he passes out. He has vivid dreams and in them experiences flowers, possibly poppies, which is where opium comes from. He has a new take on life, "Life is just a dream". |

I think that this song could be about people who have fallen away from god's grace, but I have a different view entirely. I think that this song could be about the president and war. "See the fake, everyday shaking hands of men, promising the end. Hear him speak of all the things that we need to hear, to adhere." Saying that he's saying the war is a good thing and it's going to end but really he's just saying what people want to hear even if it's not the truth. The whole "between the resurrection and the prophecy unborn" thing does make it sound pretty religious but the ressurection could be the resurrection of a nation and the prophecy unborn could be about how the war was seen as a good thing but we haven't seen the good side of it yet. Well, that's just what I got out of it. |

I'm not sure, but what I get from this song is that his longterm girlfriend cheats on him with someone who has liked her the whole time they were going out. He ends up despising his girlfriend and does things to hurt her emotionally and perhaps physically 'finger on the trigger to my dear juliet.' I could be wrong but that's just what I got from it. |

I think that it's about a guy who meets a girl and decides to have a one night stand, hence 'I fall in love for a night.' and 'I'll be gone when the morning comes.' Then she tells people about it but he's denying it "Darling, what is going on? Honestly that never happened, lying is your favorite passion." He tells her multiple things that aren't true and she eventually finds out. In the end they dislike eachother but he still remember the night they spent together. |

Lux Courageous always have a way of making the simplest lyrics sound really beautiful, giving them almost the quality of complex poetry. This is one of my favorite songs they have and they're all together just a great band. |
