wow. quite the hymn, both in music and in words. not sure about specifics but it kind of represents that sinking alone feeling you have when youre being contained by a medical presence.
the last part, the wish to the Saints seems to be some sort of dying wish.
quite the song, the new album is fucking remarkable, but how could you expect less from the weakerthans? |

maybe it's just me but i dont see the music critics connections......
i think he is saying that humanity likes to see others suffer, because it makes each of us feel better about ourselves when we see ourselves as better than others.........so then, he is saying that his rescue, as in his lifting of someone else from despair or whatever is getting them down will cause that person to be something greater, to be happy, to rise above others. This then would lead to a scorn from others, which would then circle back around to the blues that the other person originally felt.
he is saying to someone else something like "ya i can help you, i can save you, but don't blame me for what happens afterword" |
