my mother always used to say: every day brings its own worries. It's like life consists of nothing more than solving problems and making ends meet and dealing with your "issues". "thats already killed me, i've already been there, thats nothing new".... there is so much feeling to this. i dont know if it matches what the singer wanted to say, but it reminds me of one of Nietzsche's most famous phrases: "what does not kill me only makes me stronger". its like hes saying: dont worry, im not going to die. after a fall, you get up, brush the dust off, raise your chin, and keep walking. |

the last few years have been real hard on me... i can identify perfectly with these lyrics. I think they convey such a positive message: to stay positive, to keep on looking forward and never give up. Hope is the last thing that dies, and it should be that way. Sometimes we feel lost and helpless, but sadness is like a season, and like all seasons, it will pass with time. We just need to realize that even though we dont feel allright at all, things will eventually work out. Life keeps on moving, it does not stop for anyone or everything. |

ohhh man i love this song. the guitar work at 2:26 has to be one of the chilliest, most elegant, sexiest and danceable riffs on the face of earth this song makes me think of elegant and pretty people living the best of lives on thier yachts in the mediterranean sea. This is a great song. It is an evidence of what Boysetsfire is capable of doing. Great melodies, great power, great message. I believe this is song is a call for action. It is amazing and sickening to realize how the world is full with couch potatos who do nothing else than watch life pass by. Lots of us see or live injustice, violence, wrongfullness and do nothing about it. Those things have become so normal, that we have developed a sick tolerance towards them. Boysetsfire yells at us: We should stand up. We should speak up. We should`nt see ourselves die tied up. We shouldnt be just visitors at our own burial. Life shouldnt be a requiem. We live in a world full of people, but still, we often fail to establish a connection with our next door neighbours, and we feel lonely. We should choose our own individual paths and not let anyone tell us what to do. My favorite line: "All whats left of me are jaded memories of what i could´ve been if I had only been less of what they wanted." well, thats my view on this song |

I remember knocking on my ex girlfriend's front door and beeing welcomed by her sister. Now i walk pass that door and think about all the good and bad memories i have from her. We havent seen each other in a long time. i love how this song explodes towards the end. It builds up such power, such atmosphere. Its like if you gathered courage to knock on that door again after a long long time and face something that you are afraid of. Imagine the explosion inside of your body when that person who you want to see opens the door. An excellent song from and incredible band. |
