I remember reading an interview with Robert Lamm, (the writer of the song). He stated that the band was touring in NYC, while trying to write a song with no luck, he left the hotel and took a walk through Central Park. Taking note of what was going on around him he decided to write a song about it. there you have it. the story behind one of the bands most memorable songs. |
