I'm still working on the other two songs that they have on their myspace, I deciphered this almost entirely correctly (sent it to Chris, he sent me the revisions).
Perhaps I shall do the same for the other two. |

This song is about how some things in life are difficult to get through, but the best thing to do is just relax, and take it all in one day at a time, and do what you have to do to stay happy.
To me, at least. |

How does this song only have one comment? It is above and beyond their best song. Simply amazing lyrics and music. |

This is such an amazingly funny song.
I love how much he sounds like Michael McDonald.

This is easily about a girl who left him, and she is not going to give him another chance.
Amazing song. |

I've spoken with Dave personally about this song, and others off of the handslikeguns album, he said that this song in particular was about an accident that they got into, and the realization of how close they were to death. |

Yeah exactly, how do you fall asleep to this?
To me this seems like he has a night job, and it's beginning to take away from his lifestyle, and he's unable to hang out with friends and stuff. |

This song being about a deer or not, to me it's Chris singing to himself.
He's trying to pick himself up from whatever caused him to fall.
That's my perception of it. |

This is one of the few TGR songs in which the music is more vibrant than the words, not taking anything away from Chris' writing or his voice, but the music is the more dominant part of the song.
To me, this song is about wanting that one person that has that power to put you in a situation where everything wrong just evaporates. Due to the vocals being somewhat quieter than most TGR songs, I feel that this song is about someone close to Chris, but he doesn't want them to know it's about them. He's kinda hiding something. |

The meaning to this song, at least to me, couldn't be more obvious.
It's about the mind numbingness of sitting in the middle of traffic, wondering where things are going.
In situations like this, it's easy to dream of being somewhere else, and that's what Chris is doing.
He's dreaming of being somewhere else, something else, someone else, anything else. |

To me this song is like a beautiful day outside, and all you can do is let it grace you with it's glory. There's an anticipation in the air, and also a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. Then before you know it, the day's almost over, and still, all you can do is admire the beauty of a beautiful day dissipating. |
