to dag_102 and martinos, u can have ur opinion and i respect that. however, dag u are apparently wrong about this album being "market-for-the-masses"...i don't know where you found the definition for this, or rather how long it took you to make it up, but its wrong. Pretty.Odd. is currently #9 on ITunes current top albums and climbing. another thing this album is attracting new fans as well...2 of my friends that hated panic b4 because they were so "gay"...yes they were u can admit it...but now like them because they have matured musically and increased their influences to reach back further to when each band had its own sound instead of all the stupid emo/punkpop bands today that sound exactly the same. yes they had their own sound but still relied heavily on synths and artificial means of producing music...whereas this is pure straight up old school instruments. as for the line about them being the same band and how they are not because there is no dark material is just ridiculous. a band is not defined by the material they produce in terms of lyrics. if that were so no musician would have full control over the music they write and wouldnt that be a horrible world to live in...it would in fact defeat the point of music...so grow up and realize that this is good marketable and popular music too...only dense people would be as ignorant as you two to criticize it in such a manner |

Ok for all you stupid f**ks out there who keep saying that the darkness are like queen go hump a dog...the only way the darkness resemble queen is the vocals, so stop calling them a queen ripoff if anything its a FREDDIE MERCURY ripoff...although thats not possible. YOU CANT RIPOFF SOMEONES VOICE, the way you sing is the way you sing you cant change that...if you know anything then ud call brian johnson a bon scott ripoff and for all u brain dead music expert wannabes bon scott was the original lead singer for AC/DC till he died, and then brian johnson took over from Back in Black to now. notice how they sound exactly the same, many many people have no idea that there was more than one singer in the band...the only similarity between justin hawkins and freddie mercury is the high pitch of the voice so stop calling it a ripoff and/or comparing the two bands...teh instrumentation for the two bands is very very very different...sry but this was annoying me to read all this crap that dillholes kept saying that was so far off |

hmm well to me this song is about a relationship...but then again that can be wrongly said about many many songs w/e here it goes...this relationship is complicated and its kinda an off and on thing (things we do are never gonna change), and this song is about wen its off...the girl needs some time and doesnt want him or any other guy at the moment but the guy is in love with her so he is going to wait till she "comes around"...but he is starting to feel like maybe this time she wont come back cus its "too late" |

Yes, it is obvious that this song is about the end of something great (Blink) and the beginning of something even greater (Angels and Airwaves) if we, the listeners, will give it a chance. However, if you want to look at it another way, a way that has more meaning for most people...which im sure many ppl would like...it coudl be about a relationship. a guy likes a girl, but this girl just got out of a really bad relationship. they guy comforts the girl (the chorus) but nothing more than emotional support because then they just say goodbye...the guy wants to be with the girl and he is hoping that she will want to take the chance again on a relationship and that she wants to learn to love again
...obviously its not the intended meaning by tom but its a nice way to look at the song if ur more into the loveydovey meanings for songs |
