Dissposition: Undertow can't be about Bush and the Gulf War, it was released in 1993, before he was even president.
And I love this song. It's one of my absolute favorites, even though I'm not a huge fan of Undertow. The overall theme of Undertow isn't as smart as the later albums, so I'm not going to do a whole lot of digging into these lyrics.
I do think it'd be odd for them to write a song about fans digging too deep into their lyrics when up to this point they had only released Opiate and Undertow, and hadn't gotten a lot of attention yet.
I haven't quite picked my theory yet, but I suppose I will eventually. For now it's just good head-banging music. |

Syncing Viginti Tres/Wings pt.1 and 10,000 Days works pretty well. I was having some timing problems myself, but all in all it seems as if they were made for that purpose. I could be wrong.
Renegade-Ninja, I tried your playlists, and it seemed to sync up well, though a bit out of time at parts.
Over all, this song isn't as creepy as Faaip De Oiad, which I'm happy about, and it seems its main purpose was to fit together for an ultra track, which has been said before. I can't think of any other reason why the times fit perfectly and synced together they sound perfect. |

Holy shit. I take an innocent listen to this song, and for one, it scared the living shit out of me. Secondly, I come here to read the comments. Now I'm not entirely sure what to believe. The idea of extra-dimensional beings referred to as "Fallen angels" seems to make sense to me, no matter how fucking scary it is. I know I'm not listening to this song in the dark now, for fear of a fucking incident. I'm also not going to try to speak any Enochian...or read up on it. Damn me for being interested in this scary shit, I always find it too interesting to let go of, then I scare myself into a (figurative) coma.
So, I about the extra-dimensional being idea, it really is plausible. Not having any sort of dimensional rift technology ourselves, it's impossible to prove it. But the idea of something without a physical form fucking with you is just scary, even if it happened to be harmless. The only thing I can think to do to bring myself out of this scared state of paranoia is to listen to hours of Boston.
I'll be cured in no time. ;) |

I love this song so much. I love how it's real quiet at the beginning, but goes all headbanger on you towards the middle. Truly awesome song. I think it's about being in love with someone so much that you can't move on from it. As for demi-gods and hungry ghosts and such, well....what do you want? I mean, it is VAST after all. |

De-Loused in the Comatorium is that sort of album where you can't just listen to one song and get a single meaning about it. The full album is about Julio Venegas, renamed Cerpin Taxt, who falls into a self-induced morphine coma in an attempt to kill himself. He has a journey through an entire world while in the coma, when he comes out of the coma, he kills himself. Cicatriz ESP is just depicting one of the many scenes taking place on this album. |
