This would be one of neils greatest achievments in terms of song writing. so F#*ken loaded with meaning that when i first heard it i had to sit down and just listen to it again and again. the performance on rust never sleeps is just fenominal and a tribute to music in general. the song in its self is essentially about the break up of CSN&Y and also about the destruction of artistic thought and innovation through drugs, selling out etc. i could write a ten page essay on this song its just that great. i love this song and it means so much to me. neil is god and his contribution to music is enormous. not a day goes by with out listening to him and i hope he continues to make great music for a long time. |

i love how this has turned into i gigantic debate of "Intelligent" and "Witty" come backs. i feel that you could all learn from this song imensly. this song is about the past. not the present. the world has changed a huge amount. i think its amazing how people are so quick to judge when they know so little about the topic. someone calling a southerner a racist person just because of their history is wrong. its like people calling germans nazis at the flick of a coin, its not right. people need to calm down and let the past go. this song is a great contribution to rock and roll and the whole music scene in general. |

i think this song is about the depression and a man dreaming of a better life. the fact that the people bringing him presents and singing "words, words, between the lines of age" kind of shows that through our time people who have nothing will always have words. which i think comforts the man. i cant belive that so little amount of people have posted on this song. i would really like to hear what some other people have to say on this song |
