Well he was never really a TOOL fan! No matter what he says. Therefore what you say doesn't mean a damn thing! He just some pot head who wants to believe that it's about pot. The last line in the song, "Ganja, Please, you must have been out your mind" |

I think this song shows Maynard's confusion with his beliefs. His mother dieing I believe has brought forth feelings that he hopes god does exist for his mom. So does he question his view on god? I think so! The song, "The Pot" is not about weed, it's about the pot calling the kettle black. "Piss all over my black kettle" |

I cried like a baby as well! That's when you know it is a good song. Trexor apparently doesn't have an understanding of music enough to get those feelings. |

At the level of artistic ability that Brandon Boyd holds the meanings of songs and titles are generalizations of certain feelings he has. For example "A Crow Left of the Murder" could have been inspired by Dirk Lance leaving because he broke away from their "Murder". Dirk wasn't subject to just do what every one wanted him to do, he chose his own path, he left the band. They've already finished their fifth album and I can not wait!!! Can anybody say PREORDER!!! |

I'm new and I've been reading trexor's disappointment with 10,000 days. I'm a really big Incubus fan and when "A Crow Left of the Murder" came out people felt the same way about it. I am a singer/songwriter and I know from experience that when artists create new songs the notes become lower and harder to hear. A person without a really good ear will not get the chills or those good feelings that you experience when you here a song that just hooks you from the get go. I was sort of disappointed by the rest of the tracks on "A Crow Left of the Murder", but the more I listened to them the more I began to get those feelings about all the tracks. So Trexor just keep listening to the album, I know you'll start to like it. You built up the last album so much that this one disappointed you. Oh, you also said something about them going backwards, but at Maynard's level there is only forward. Artists only get better, different, but better! |
