kissinhippies, yes they are christians. No, I can't really tell you if there are any screamo bands that aren't Christian because: 1. I barely hear any real screamo bands nowadays and 2. Norma Jean = not screamo I really love this song. Old NJ was pretty hard. I like Josh's screaming so much more than Corey's, but I love Corey's voice too. :) |

"Start a band or throw a brick.You lazy hipsters make me sick" He also makes a reference to how egotistic they can be and how they think hardcore music is the best music around. "Kid, you may be playing your music loud, but it's drowned out by your mouth." Or how some of them are posers.... "You're living in Manhattan.Where are you really from?Have you forgotten?" Or how some of them think they have the worst life in the world because they hate their parents. "So stop dragging your feet behind.You can't live with the folks all your life." Okay.So my friend and I discussed the meaning behind this song and here's what we basically think it's about: Cute is saying that Shaant or all of them are really good with ladies because they have the skills to compose poetry and they can carry great conversations, but the girl has the curse of curves so basically she can seduce any guy with just her looks where as Cute have to actually indulge in conversating and having someone get to know them. "From what I've heard with skin you'll win." As a long as a girl's got the body she'll have a better chance at winning...a date. "We all have teeth that can bit underneath......" I didn't really understand that line, but my friend says that what he might mean is that we all can get mad and, ya know, bite back no matter what looks we have or how good we can connect with someone. I don't know.That's what we think, but we could be completely wrong. |
