I think the song is talking about how the media has become a higher-archial mindless orgy of self-importance. That diplomacy is little more than a mathematically calculated cliche that is designed to invoke great intrest and emotion in meaningless subject matter. It's an obvious ploy to distract attention away from genocide, war crime, fraud,etc... Moby Dick is the story of the feutal pursuit of the great whale in order to go down in the history books. In the end it's a meaningless fight that brings death to all sides, less those in control. In the end, we never even see it coming, the decline of society, the fall of mankind. |
